The Office of Advancement is the liaison between Lancaster Catholic High School
and all external constituencies. Primary functions of the office include Development
Activities (fundraising), Alumni Affairs, Public Relations and the Recruitment of
new students.
As a private institution, Catholic High is dependent on the generosity of the thousands
of benefactors who annually underwrite the operation of this school through their
financial support. Tuition alone simply does not provide the revenue necessary for
day-to-day operations, let alone major renovation projects and upgrades. Therefore,
the Office of Advancement is charged with soliciting funds from alumni, parents,
friends, businesses, and foundations. Thanks to our donors' remarkable largesse,
Lancaster Catholic offers an exceptional education - academically, socially and
spiritually.
Understanding the close relationships that develop among individuals within these
walls, the Office of Advancement strives to keep our alumni informed and involved.
The Office publishes the Lancaster Catholic Magazine to share information with and about
the entire alumni body and assists classes in planning their reunions. Alumni are
always welcome at LCHS, and the Advancement Office stands ready to assist alumni
in any way possible.
The Office of Advancement also communicates what is going on at Catholic High with
the greater community through contact with the print, television and radio media.
We are extremely proud of what our faculty, staff and students do and achieve, and
we are excited to share that information with people throughout the region.
In addition, the Office assists prospective students and their families interested
in making the transition to Lancaster Catholic. We provide tours of the facility,
the chance to talk with current students and/or faculty, opportunities to attend
extra-curricular events and the ability to "shadow" one of our students for a day.
Shadowing is one of our most popular programs because it allows prospective students
to get a first-hand look at what LCHS is really like and why it is such a special
place. If you have any questions regarding Catholic High, please contact us at (717)
509-0313. We would love to show you around. |
